Field Service Technician Trainee

Pepsico is hiring for Field Service Technician Trainee

The Field Service Technician Trainee is responsible for learning how to install, maintain, and repair PepsiCo beverage equipment. This entry-level role is designed for individuals new to the trade who are interested in gaining the technical skills necessary to become a certified Field Service Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of vending machines, coolers, fountains, and other beverage equipment.

• Shadow experienced technicians and learn proper safety procedures and equipment handling.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used through manual or electronic documentation.

• Ensure all tools and equipment are used and maintained properly.

• Support team members in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.

• Learn how to conduct preventive maintenance and perform equipment upgrades.

• Follow company and industry guidelines related to electrical and mechanical repairs.

• Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Willingness to learn mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor including kneeling, bending, and climbing.

• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical diploma, certification, or coursework in electronics, HVAC, or related field.

• Previous experience in maintenance, equipment repair, or related field is a plus.

• Familiarity with tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.

Work Environment:

• Field-based with travel to customer locations.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions and tight working spaces.

• Occasional evening or weekend work based on business needs.

Career Path:

• Successful trainees may be promoted to Field Service Technician or other roles within PepsiCo’s technical or operations departments.
