What You Will Do:

As a Back-End Clerk, you will contribute to providing quality customer service while ensuring the store remains clean, safe, and fully stocked with products. Specific responsibilities include:

• Customer Support: Meet customer needs during returns and assist in finding correct product replacements.
• Product Quality & Safety: Ensure merchandise meets Lowe’s quality and safety standards and process returns efficiently.
• Safe Work Practices: Engage in proper disposal of returned items and ensure merchandise is accounted for and replenished.
• Inventory Management: Ensure the correct merchandise is moved in and out of the store when necessary.
• Return & Vendor Management: Process returns, handle Centralized Return to Vendor procedures, and manage the disposal of items.
• Freight and Merchandising: Assist with successful freight and merchandising fulfillments at Lowe’s locations.
• Paperwork & Shipments: Process paperwork for shipments, move stock as it’s delivered, and check the quality and accuracy of orders.
• Communication: Spend time communicating with customers, vendors, and manufacturers, especially in difficult conversations.
• Organization & Detail-Oriented: Maintain an organized and detail-oriented approach to daily tasks.

Travel Requirements:

This role generally does not require regular travel but may require occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

What We’re Looking For:

Hourly Full-Time or Part-Time:

• Full-time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 hours per week
• Part-time: Up to 25 hours per week
• Flexibility for evening and overnight availability on weekdays, and weekends may also be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other physical activities.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift more with assistance.

What You Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience with processing and filing merchandise receiving paperwork.
• 1 year of experience in store inventory receiving and administration.
• 6 months of experience in warehouse data entry or bookkeeping.
• 6 months of experience communicating with vendors or customers regarding returns, payments, or contract fulfillment.
• 6 months of retail experience in accepting or processing returns.
