The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a vital role in manually constructing pallets of items for shipping on bulk and route trucks. It is crucial to maintain precision when loading and unloading trucks, utilizing tools such as forklifts and electronic pallet jacks. Working with electronic order systems or order sheets ensures the accurate processing of goods.

The main responsibilities include guaranteeing the precision of loading activities and following shipping and receiving documentation accurately. Moreover, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, being flexible to work in various weather conditions, and adjusting shift lengths based on workload requirements are crucial components of this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Truck Loading: The task of Truck Loading includes the movement of entire pallets of merchandise onto trailers, the extraction of any returned pallets, and the loading of bulk truck packages.
• Raw Material Handling:Ensure the proper storage of raw materials in designated warehouse spaces post unloading.
• Pallet Building: Opt for assigned product assortments from the warehouse, stack and seal pallets using shrink-wrap, and transport them onto trailers for distribution.
• Customer-Specific Loading: Personalizing the loading process to meet the specific requirements of salespersons for route truck deliveries.
• Unloading: Discharge returned merchandise and pallets/plastic flats from delivery trucks.
• Physical Requirements: Frequently handle packages of items weighing 20-45 lbs. throughout the day. Continuous standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and clutching are fundamental aspects of the job.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

• Drive power pallet jacks or forklifts in order to pick and load items according to load sheets or voice-pick audio devices.
• Indicate on tickets that certain items are not in stock.
• Apply wrapping to pallets once they are properly loaded.
• Ensure that paperwork is submitted along with orders for validation before loading can proceed.
• Organize the pallets on the staging area and then proceed to load them onto the trucks when they are ready.
• Create full pallets from partial loads and manage the storage of varied pallet assortments.
• Keep up with the standards of housekeeping in the designated work area.
• Uphold steady, reliable, and expected participation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Those who are not yet 18 years old are restricted.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous exposure to working in a warehouse environment involving activities like fulfilling orders, managing inventory, preparing for distribution, and operating machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Skilled in the fundamental operations of forklift driving, such as driving in both directions, adjusting the boom's height, and adeptly handling tight corners and spaces.
• Proficiency in working with racking systems and managing pallets for loading/unloading tasks (placing and removing pallets from racking systems and trucks).
• Partnering with others harmoniously, engaging in joint problems solving, and fostering collaboration constitute teamwork experience.
