A Pallet Builder's primary task is to stack products on pallets for shipment on bulk and route trucks through manual labor. Precise attention to detail is vital when loading and unloading trucks, using machinery like forklifts and electronic pallet jacks. Following instructions from electronic order systems or order sheets is key to efficient task completion.

The main duties consist of verifying the accuracy of the loading process and complying with shipping and receiving paperwork. This role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment, working in diverse weather conditions, and adjusting shift lengths based on workload demands.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Truck Loading: The duty of loading trucks includes shifting full pallets of merchandise onto trailers, disposing of returned pallets, and loading bulk packages onto trucks.
• Raw Material Handling: Transfer of raw materials from delivery vehicles to designated warehouse spaces is essential for effective material handling.
• Pallet Building: Select designated product packages, place them on pallets, shrink-wrap, and load them onto trailers for delivery.
• Customer-Specific Loading: Implementing personalized loading techniques in accordance with salesperson orders for route truck dispatch.
• Unloading: Detach products and pallets/plastic flats from delivery trucks.
• Physical Requirements: Routinely carry boxes of products weighing 20-45 lbs. throughout the shift. The job entails continuous standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping activities.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

• Utilize power pallet jacks or forklifts to pick and load merchandise based on load sheets or voice-pick audio instructions.
• Identify on tickets the unavailability of certain items.
• Make sure to wrap the pallets securely once they are loaded.
• Before loading begins, it is necessary to present paperwork with orders for verification.
• Efficiently load trucks with staged pallets.
• Blend incomplete pallet items and arrange mixed pallets for optimal storage efficiency.
• Sustain cleanliness levels according to work area standards.
• Commit to a schedule that ensures regular, predictable, and reliable attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Only those who are legally adults may enter.

Preferred Experience:

• Practical participation in warehouse functions such as order selection, inventory management, preparation for shipping, and proficiency in using powered pallet jacks/forklifts.
• Skilled in the primary functions of forklift driving, such as moving forward or backward, adjusting the boom's position, and maneuvering effectively in confined spaces.
• Skill in utilizing racking systems and handling pallets when loading/unloading goods (placing and removing pallets from racking systems and trucks).
• The experience of teamwork involves engaging in cooperative problem-solving and collaborative efforts to achieve a common goal.
