Local Delivery Driver

Pepsico is hiring for Local Delivery Driver

Salary: $28.50 per hour

Shift: Full Time, Days

Job Description:

• Deliver products to various types of customers including Foodservice.
• Drive the delivery vehicle and ensure timely delivery of products to stores.
• Rotate and stock products on store shelves, displays, coolers, and vending equipment.
• Build small displays and set up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners.
• Generate invoices and manage daily settlement of cash and charges.
• Interact frequently with store management and receiving personnel for load acceptance.
• Perform lifting and loading of cases ranging from 20-45 pounds and pushing/pulling with forces from 40-150 pounds.
• Utilize an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck to unload pallets and place products in designated store areas.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Deliver products and execute promotions.
• Service all scheduled customers by the end of the shift.
• Merchandise accounts to local standards.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with primary contacts at each account.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical.
• Valid CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable).
  • Note: In California, except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate statuses are accepted. In Stockton, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

Helpful Experience:

• Operating CDL trucks (driving forwards, backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces).
• Adhering to DOT regulations (reading and comprehending documentation, maintaining medical cards).
• Merchandising products (filling shelves, building displays, rotating products).
• Using equipment like pallet jacks, dock plates, load bars, and straps.
• Documenting DOT regulations.

• Bonus eligibility up to $5,000, paid over the first year.
