Fastenal is hiring for Customer Operations Associate

Shifts: Monday - Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, totaling a maximum of 28 hours weekly

Overview:

Working as a Customer Operations Associate involves participating in various tasks aimed at improving the performance of the customer's onsite supply chain functions. This beginner-level position offers a prime opportunity to cultivate a solid understanding of customer relationship management and operational logistics. Upon successful integration, training, and performance assessment, the option for flexible scheduling might become available.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer queries and arrange for the allocation of essential resources.
• Monitor inventory levels effectively and maintain accurate records to streamline inventory management processes.
• Carry out customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Take care of incoming and outgoing inventory shipments.
• Manage inventory tasks efficiently within the customer's premises.
• Give pricing quotes for a range of products, including both new and established items.
• Join in improvement initiatives that aim to refine and optimize business processes.
• Articulate and demonstrate the value of supply chain services to the client with concrete measurements.

Required Qualifications:

• Only those individuals who are 18 years or older may participate.
• Enrolled in a program for Supply Chain/Operations Management or having equivalent industry experience and familiarity with the local market.
• Strong aptitude for expressing thoughts clearly through writing and speaking.
• Proficiency in foundational computer software.
• Advanced mathematical proficiency, meticulousness, and a sense of urgency are crucial.
• Self-propelled, autonomous, and dedicated to meeting customer needs.
• Able to thrive in an environment that prioritizes sales.

• Skill in hoisting, relocating, transporting, and gently placing packages that range from 25 to 50 pounds in weight, up to a maximum of 75 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license issued within the jurisdiction of the job location is a prerequisite.
• Successfully finishing a graduated licensing course that is applicable to the individual.
