Team Overview:
The Sustain & Operations team within the Digital Products and Applications (DPA) organization is central to PepsiCo’s digital transformation journey. The team ensures operational excellence and resilience across digital products, emphasizing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. These initiatives support the business in maintaining highly resilient operations through proactive detection, diagnosis, and automated recovery mechanisms.
Role Overview:
As a Solutions Architect (Senior level), you will serve as a subject matter expert in application architectures and SRE practices. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining modern support operations solutions aligned with SRE principles across PepsiCo’s digital product ecosystem. The Solutions Architect will ensure seamless user experience and service reliability through automation and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Design modern support operations solutions with SRE principles.
Drive the implementation of SRE practices in product development and operations.
Lead the definition and delivery of SRE orchestration software to automate service delivery.
Work closely with product engineering, solution architects, and DevOps teams.
Develop and manage metrics (SLA/SLO/SLI, error budgets) for performance measurement.
Collect and analyze systems data to assess business process resiliency.
Partner with support teams and empower them with SRE insights.
Participate in on-call support and lead blameless post-mortem processes.
Actively drive AIOps adoption for proactive issue resolution.
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in IT operations, with 3–5 years in solution architecture.
Expertise in SRE, software reliability engineering, and IT service management (ITSM).
Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
Experience in DevOps/DevSecOps integration within CI/CD pipelines.
Proven track record in system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and automation.
Excellent communication skills; ability to present technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience leading high-performing, cross-functional technical teams.
Deep hands-on knowledge of orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
