Pepsico is hiring for Order Fulfillment Specialist

A Order Fulfillment Specialist is required to stack products onto pallets for transportation on bulk and route trucks through manual labor. Attention to detail is necessary to ensure the correct orders are loaded and unloaded with precision using equipment like forklifts and electronic pallet jacks. Following instructions from electronic order systems or order sheets is key to successful completion of tasks.

Key duties involve verifying the correctness of loading actions and adhering to shipping and receiving paperwork meticulously. In addition, upholding a hygienic and secure working environment, being capable of working in diverse weather conditions, and being flexible with shift lengths based on workload are all part of the job description.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Truck Loading: Truck Loading encompasses the actions of transferring full pallets of products onto trailers, retrieving returned pallets, and loading bulk truck packages.
• Raw Material Handling: The handling of raw materials includes unloading and storing them in allocated areas within the warehouse.
• Pallet Building: Select designated items from the warehouse, arrange them on pallets, secure with shrink-wrap, and load them onto trailers for delivery.
• Customer-Specific Loading: Individualizing product loading based on salesperson orders intended for transportation via route trucks.
• Unloading: Unpack returned items and pallets/plastic flats from delivery vehicles.
• Physical Requirements: Regularly hoist containers of goods weighing 20-45 pounds during the shift. Persistent standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and holding actions are obligatory.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

• Employ power pallet jacks or forklifts to pick and load items in compliance with load sheets or voice-pick instructions.
• Tag tickets for items that are out of inventory.
• After completing the pallet loading, ensure to wrap them accordingly.
• Provide necessary paperwork for verification along with orders before loading operations can begin.
• Place the pallets on the stage and then proceed to load them onto the trucks once they are prepared for transportation.
• Merge partial pallets into complete units and securely store pallet mixes.
• Adhere to proper housekeeping protocols within the workspace.
• Ensure regularity, dependability, and predictability in attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Access is limited to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in a warehouse environment that includes responsibilities such as order picking, product storage, arrangement for transportation, and the use of powered pallet jacks/forklifts.
• Experience in operating a forklift involves proficiency in basic tasks like driving forward and backward, raising or lowering the boom, and navigating through constrained areas efficiently.
• Expertise in using racking systems and handling pallets during the loading/unloading operations (placing and extracting pallets onto and off racking systems and trucks).
• Coordination among team members, joint efforts to address difficulties, and mutual problem-solving reflect teamwork experience.
