Operations Supervisor

Lowe's is hiring for Operations Supervisor

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising a high-performing team that handles products safely, efficiently, and effectively throughout the facility. The role involves maintaining a safe work environment, building a safety-oriented culture, monitoring production volume, and assigning or reassigning tasks to associates. The Operations Supervisor resolves issues, addresses safety concerns, communicates business objectives, and supports associate relations.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Management:

• Ensure all associates understand and follow safe work practices.
• Conduct regular safety observations and discussions.
• Identify and resolve safety issues and address escalated concerns.

Human Resources Support:

• Assist associates with HR-related issues such as attendance, pay, benefits, and job changes.
• Handle voluntary terminations, I-9 verification, and workplace accommodations.

Team Leadership:

• Communicate clear expectations and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Monitor and manage associate performance.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure accurate accounting of performance.

Operational Oversight:

• Determine daily workload and monitor inventory movements.
• Expedite receiving, picking, and shipping of priority products.
• Direct resolutions to equipment issues.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Prepare shift turnover documentation.

Mentorship and Coaching:

• Build relationships with associates and conduct annual reviews.
• Provide meaningful developmental opportunities.
• Prepare associates for upward promotion if interested.

Incident and Performance Management:

• Complete incident and accident reports.
• Address safety concerns and bottlenecks.

Hiring and Training:

• Participate in hiring processes and maintain target staffing levels.
• Ensure proper training for associates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field OR 4 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience building a culture of safety.
• Leadership experience with direct report responsibility.
• Experience mentoring and coaching others.
• Experience monitoring the work of others to ensure quality.
• Effective communication with leadership at all levels.
• Previous leadership roles within Lowe’s supply chain facilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Warehouse Management Systems.
